This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Great staff, outstanding food choices, and a peaceful environment to be in. In fact I took my mother there for Mother's Day this past year! I loved my meal and I even made a new friend as we were about to leave. Cool place!

This is better than the other places we've tried in TN. We had chile rellenos and enchiladas verdes with rice and beans, chips and salsa. Decent! One thing we haven't enjoyed about Mex food in TN is that it seems like every dish has queso sauce all over it. This food had some real cheese and we didn't see any queso tonight! Service was good and server friendly. We'll go back for sure.

Great salsas. The tack was a little bit juicy. Beans are good as well. Typical me restaurant. But deserve a yelp out...enjoy.

Stopped in today with hubby and DANG! it was better than last time I'm even more impressed! The salsa, & hot smoky salsa, was so fresh! You can tell they just made it. The acid in the tomatoes was so fresh and acidic like it should be. The tomatillo salsa was so fresh, the acidity, spot on AMAZBALLS!!!! The fish tacos were 2 die for!! Hubby loved the carnitas...the carnita tacos were so filling I got one and it was also AMAZBALLS!!! The only other people there this visit were all Hispanic, that should tell you how authentic it is :) I don't even live within 500 miles of this place. But, whenever I travel from OK to OH and back I will always find time to stop here. It's just that good dang it!

The only local Mexican restaurant where I go to eat. Authentic food that is well prepared. The margaritas are some of the best anywhere. We always are seated quickly, even when it's busy. The staff will take good care of you. The owners are there and their whole family works also. They have specials and 2 for one drinks during Happy Hour. PS. The drinks aren't watered down!

We stayed the night in Kingston Springs on a road trip and walked over to El Jardin from our hotel. We were sat and had our order taken immediately. The atmosphere was much like any other Mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa were very good, salsa was spicy. I ordered the chorizo nachos and my husband had the verde chicken enchiladas. The menu was very extensive and reasonably priced items. The nachos were delicious! If we're ever cruising through Kingston Spgs again, we'll definately stop here for lunch!

El Jardin is a perfectly adequate place to eat. It's helped by the fact that it's the only game in town and that the owners really do seem to care about improvements and staying in the community. The parking lot is always packed and you can bet that has something to do with the all-day happy hour specials and the cheap prices. And did I mention it's really the only game in town? If you like your beans from a giant can and your cheese sauce from another giant can, this is your type of place. I would never call it authentic Mexican food, but it will do. And it fits in perfectly with all the other Americanized Mexican joints in the Nashville area. That being said, the menu has expanded significantly in the past year and now includes guacamole with texture and some interesting dishes. They have always offered a decent selection of vegetarian items and a full bar - both big pluses. The owners have invested in their business, tiling, painting and building a big patio deck. The paint and tiles are an alarming shade of mango and some of the art is definitely Telenovela-style PG13 rated, but an effort has been made here. Go and get a giant margarita in a fish bowl sized glass, but have someone else drive afterward. The local police are nearly always dining at one of the neighboring tables.

It's Mexican food. Always good. Good drink specials for happy hour. Service is ok, some of them have trouble understanding English. But I suppose you'll get that.

Stopped with two co-workers for dinner on our way from Nashville to Jackson. Decided to dine here because it looked like the only independent place at the exit. Salsa and chips delivered instantly. The salsa was very mild so we asked for something hotter which they brought. We were all satisfied with our meals, it's not like a high end specialty meal, but it worked for our group at the time.

The only place I've been in TN that will give you the real mexican food if you ask. No additional charge. The server was attentive and prfessional. The bathroom was clean but needed soap which they remedied imediately upon my request. Very family oriented
